Since we are planning to make a custom-made trip, we have been looking for different companies that could organize it.
We have found many companies, but three of them are the best. Those are:
The first company we have analyzed is DeepPlanet, a company focused on nature and culture for those who love to discover by contact another world.
Secondly we have found on Internet a company called “Viajes Beagle”. As we can discover on their web page, they offer many places around the world where to go, organising the plan to follow. But they give the customer the possibility to make their custom-made trip if they don’t find what they want on the web page.
Finally, Tarannà is a company that offers us many options in each continent to discover our planet. They also are open, as the other companies, to hear your request and offer the consumers another options. They have a specialized worker group to care about consumers in their trips.
After analyzed them, we have chosen five different trips, that are similar in these three companies. Tanzania in Africa, Perú in South America, New Zealand in Oceania, Thailand in Asia or Turkey in Europe are five different trips that they offer in different ways, changing prices, duration or plan of the trips.
After reading many opinions of costumers on Internet, in pages as “losviajeros.com”, and after seen the offers, we have chosen “Tarannà” to organyze our custom-made trip. This chosen have been taken because they offer more freedom to choose what customers want.
This custom-made trip is a trip from Barcelona to Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Cambodia, and finally Vietnam. We are going to spend one month and a half, visiting the most interesting places from each country. The meaning of this trip is to explore different cultures and live in the same way that people do it there, having the experience of this society, appreciating the basis of the life.
Finally, our trip has been organized on this way:
Day 01: BARCELONA - SINGAPORE - YANGON
From Barcelona to Singapore to connect with the flight to Yangon. Overnight on board.
Day 02: YANGON
Arrive in Yangon. Visit the Shwedagon Padoga to see the sunset. Overnight in Yangon
Day 03: YANGON (Breakfast included)
In the morning we will visit the most important places in Yangon, as the Sule Padoga in city center and the Bogyoke market known as Scott Market. In the evening we’ll visit the Botatung Pagoda, and finally the Real Kandawgyi Lake. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 04: YANGON - MANDALAY (Breakfast)
Transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. Excursion to Mingun, located in a short distance from Mandalay across the river, where you get after a pleasant boat trip. Visit the Mingun Paya.
Back to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay
Day 05: MANDALAY (Breakfast)
Excursion to Amarapura and Inwa (Ava). Also we´ll visit the Mahagandayon monastery where we can observe the life of the monks. Back to Mandalay and visit the city. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 06: MANDALAY - MONYWA (Breakfast)
We will go by car from Mandalay to Monywa. During the journey we visit Sagaing, spiritual capital of Myanmar. Later we’ll continue to Monywa. Overnight in Monywa.
Day 07: MONYWA - PAKOKKU - BAGAN (Breakfast)
Excursion to the Pow Win Daung Caves. Cross the Chindwin river on a local ferry to go by car to the caves. After the visit continue to Pakokku to take the boat to Bagan. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 08: BAGAN (Breakfast)
Visit to one of the most important temples such as Shwezigon Paya, Gubyaukhyi Temple, Ananda Temple Phato, Gubyaukgyi Temple, Temple and Shwesandaw Manuha Paya. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 09: BAGAN - MONTE POPA - BAGAN (Breakfast)
Excursion to Mount Popa. Visitors ascend the stairs leading to the top observed by curious monkeys that inhabit the area. At the top is a temple with 37 nats and from where you can see spectacular views. Return to Bagan. Free time. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 10: HEHO - KALAW (Breakfast)
Transfer to airport for flight to Heho. Transfer to Kalaw. Free time. Overnight in Kalaw.
Day 11: KALAW (Breakfast)
The plain near Kalaw is inhabited by ethnic Palaung and Pao. There is possibility of a trekking-excursion to see how the ethnic groups live in this zone. Ovenight in Kalaw.
Day 12: KALAW - PINDAYA - LAGO INLE (Breakfast)
Transfer by car from Kalaw to Inle Lake. During the trip we’ll visit the Pindaya caves. We arrive in Inle and we’ll take a boat shuttle to the hotel. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 13: LAGO INLE (Breakfast)
Boat Tour to Paung Daw Oo Pagoda and to Inn Paw Khon. After that we’ll visit the monastery Nga Phe Kyanung. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 14: LAGO INLE - BANGKOK (Breakfast)
Transfer to airport for flight to Bangkok. Arrival in Bangkok. Visa arrangements, reception and transfer to the hotel. Free time in the afternoon.
Day 15: BANGKOK - VISITA TEMPLOS (Breakfast)
Leave early will allow time to reach the Pagoda Pho to enjoy the first ritual chants of the monks (the songs start at 09.00 h). After this spiritual experience,we’ll visit the temple facilities and the famous 45-meter reclining Buddha. They will continue their tour of the Grand Palace.And finally we’ll visit the amulets market. Back to the hotel. Free time in the afternoon and overnight.
Day 16: BANGKOK - MERCADO DEL TREN - MERCADO FLOTANTE - KANCHANABURI - BANGKOK
Excursion especially dedicated to know the rural life of the country, visiting the largest market and picturesque Thailand (100 km from Bangkok) On the way, we will know the peculiar train market, which is placed and removed depending on the train. Departure to Kanchanaburi to visit the famous Bridge on the River Kwai.Visit the War Museum, inside the Wat Chai Chumphon. Finally, visit the Erawan National Park and Erawan Falls. Return to Bangkok and transfer to hotel. (Breakfast lunch,-))
Day 17: BANGKOK - AYUTHAYA - BANGKOK (Breakfast - COMIDA)
In the morning it will take to Ayutthaya enjoying the views along the way. Along the way, we visit the Summer Palace Bang Pa. When we arrive in Ayutthaya we’ll get on a "tuk-tuk" to discover the magnificent ruins of ancient temples and historic park. Near the Muslim quarter will pause to try one of the most famous delicacy of Ayutthaya - cotton candy. If time permits will visit a local house to see how handicrafts are made. We’ll go to a local restaurant for lunch. Return to Bangkok. Back to the hotel. (Breakfast lunch,-).
Day 18: BANGKOK - CHIANG RAI (Breakfast - FOOD)
After the breakfast, transfer to the airport to flight to Chiang Rai. Arrival in Chiang Rai, reception and arrival to hotel. Visit to the famous Golden Triangle, border union of three countries: Thailand, Burma and Laos. We will enjoy a ride through Mae Khong River by speedboat. Return to the hotel.
Day 19: CHIANG RAI (Breakfast - FOOD)
Departure to visit Mae Sai, the northest point of Thailand, where people live by exchanging goods with the neighboring country, Burma. Next, we will the local market, jade workshop, cave fish and Mae Chan, where we will meet the tribes of Akha and Yao. Back to the hotel.
Day 20: CHIANG RAI - TA THON - CHIANG MAI (Breakfast - FOOD)
After Breakfast, transfer to the port to go by speedboat across the Mae Kok River to Ta Thon, along the shore we will visit the village of the Karen and Lahu tribe.
Day 21: CHIANG MAI - TREKKING - CHIANG MAI (Breakfast - FOOD)
Breakfast in the hotel. We will start trekking to go to the village of the Hmong tribe. There is the possibility of visiting the shrine of the Natura Elephant Park. To finish our day, we will explore the landscape, visit the waterfall and take a bamboo raft ride across the river.
Day 22: CHIANG MAI (Breakfast)
Breakfast. We will visit the Wat Phra Doi Suthep, symbol of the city. In the afternoon, we will visit craft centers in Chiang Mai. At the appointed time, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Siem Reap.
Day 23: SIEM REAP
Arrive at Siem Reap airport, pickup and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 24: SIEM REAP (Breakfast)
Visit the temples of Angkor Wat.
Day 25: SIEM REAP (Breakfast)
Visit the temple complex of Angkor Thom. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 26: SIEM REAP - SAIGON (Breakfast)
At the appointed time we will be transfer to the airport to flight to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh). Overnight in Saigon.
Day 27: SAIGON (Breakfast)
Saigon, the largest of the cities of Vietnam. We will visit the most interesting places. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 28: SAIGON - CAN THO (Breakfast)
We will go by car from Saigon to Can Tho.Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 29: CAN THO - SAIGON (Breakfast)
Early morning, we will make a boat trip to Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most popular floating market in the Mekong Delta. Then we will visit Can Tho through the Khmer style temple, the local market and narrow streets.Overnight in Saigon.
Day 30: SAIGON - CU CHI - Danang - HOI AN (Breakfast)
Excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels. Important base during the American War due to its strategic location. Return to Saigon. Transfer to airport for flight to Danang. Transfer by car from Danang to Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 31: HOI AN (Breakfast)
Hoi An is a picturesque riverside town on the south of Danang. We will visit the most important places. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 32: HOI AN - HUE (Breakfast)
Transfer by car from Hoi An to Hue, through Danang, Lang Co and Hai Van Pass. Along the way we will visit the Marble Mountains. We will arrive to Hue and we will visit the Old Imperial City. Overnight in Hue.
Day 33: HUE - HANOI (Breakfast)
Visit the Imperial Tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh
At the time, transfer to the airport to flight to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 34: HANOI - TRAIN (Breakfast)
Although it is now the modern capital of Vietnam, Hanoi still retains the mystery and charm of past centuries. We will visit the most famous landmarks: Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hoan Kiem Lake. Later we will discover the old quarter of Hanoi and some of the most important museums in the city.
At the agreed time, transfer to the station to take the train to Lao Cai. Night on the train.
Day 35: LAO CAI - SA PA (Breakfast)
Arrive to Lao Cai and transfer to Bac Ha to visit the colorful Sunday Market where ethnic minorities come from around the region. After enjoying the market we will take a boat trip on the Chay River. Return to Sa Pa. Overnight in Sa Pa.
Day 36: SA PA - LAO CAI - TRAIN (to HANOI) (Breakfast)
We will move to Lao Chai for a trekking tour to admire the stunning scenery and rice fields. We will continue to Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai. Transfer to Lao Cai station to take the train to Hanoi. Night on the train.
Day 37: HANOI - HALONG (Breakfast / lunch / dinner)
Arrive to Hanoi and transfer by car to Halong Bay for an excursion of two days around the bay by a traditional junk. Lunch and dinner will be served on board. Overnight on board.
Day 38: HALONG - HANOI (Breakfast)
Second day around the bay. After visits, we will return to port to drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 39: HANOI - SINGAPORE - BARCELONA (Breakfast)
Arrive to Singapore by plane and flight to Barcelona. Overnight on board.
Day 40: BARCELONA (Breakfast)
Arrival in Barcelona.
